Overview Of Their Film
Danielle told us early on that the visuals to her film were important to her as well as the pacing of the film and their story. She hoped for a film that had a cinematic quality to the look and feel of it.
Wedding Ceremony
On the wedding day, we had beautiful sunshine and temperatures in the 80s which was perfect for Danielle & Jeff’s outdoor ceremony. Danielle walked down the aisle as the sun was setting, so you had the last bit of orange glow from the sun as she arrived at the Huppa. The walk down the aisle at sunset was one of our favorite moments. As a destination wedding videographer, we get the opportunity to see some beautiful ceremonies and sunsets in a variety of places.
Wedding Reception
The speak easy reveal during the reception was a big moment for Danielle & Jeff. Here’s how it happened:
- Going into dinner, the guests were escorted into an adjacent room to the speak easy that was hidden behind a door that was disguised as decoration.
- After dinner, Danielle & Jeff got up and thanked their guests for traveling to their wedding and also explained to them that they probably didn’t expect to party the night away on the 4×4 dance floor. However, things may actually not be as they seem.
- Jeff than proceeded to explain to the audience that Danielle loves magic and the door behind them could actually be a door to a hidden room and that he would attempt to open it by “knocking”.
- After a few “knocks” on the mic, the door opened revealing a whole new room, spacious dance floor, elevated DJ, and live musicians.
The guests eagerly followed Danielle and Jeff into this new room and the party really got started.
In the film, you’ll see that we completely changed the music to an entirely different feel than the rest of the film for the speak easy reveal in hopes to recreate the same feeling that we believe the guests felt when first walking into the room. This was an amazing day for us as a destination wedding videographer.
