Overview Of Their Film
When Gracyn was talking to us about what she wanted for her wedding film, words and phrases she used were:
- editorial,
- fly on the wall approach,
- and documentary
She wanted a film that looked intentionally filmed. A film that you could tell has thought put into with regard to framing, lighting, and and how the images on screen made you feel.
Before the wedding day, Gracyn had assembled a document showing us inspiration for how she hoped their day would look on camera. We loved how clear and creative she was with her vision. Gracyn was also very intentional about her dress and Hunter’s tux and she told us about how excited she was to see it all come together on the day of the wedding.
Lastly, super eight film was something that Gracyn had talked with us about and how she enjoyed the look of the footage. You’ll see super 8 film intergraded into their main film above. The camcorder was another popular camera on the day of the wedding too. We’ve found that the camcorder is a great way to capture moments in a way that feels nostalgic – similar to super 8 film.
Wedding Ceremony
We’ve had the opportunity to film quite few weddings in St. Augustine being that we are a Florida wedding videographer. The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, where Gracyn and Hunter were married, is a beautiful church. It has an incredible alter where the priest gives the ceremony, stain glass windows, and a long ceremony aisle for the bride to walk down.
Wedding Reception
We had talked on our final call leading up to the wedding about the banquet table that would seat their bridal party. This was something Gracyn was excited about. The banquet table was lit with candles allowing guests to interact and enjoy conversations over this beautiful tablescape with each other.
As a destination and Florida wedding videographer we always strive to capture all the moments that our couples care about the most.
